Hello Andrew,

Just a short note to tell you how much I enjoyed the tour.  I have always wanted to visit Costa Rica and your tour was able to give the me the perfect solution.  I am presently planning on moving to Costa Rica.  Now I have the information that will let make the move much smoother.  I was able to learn how the the process works and I will have people in Costa Rica able to help me make the transition much easier when the time arrives.

Thanks again,

Andrew,

We arrived back home safely. All is extremely well and we are so content with the whole experience and this is credit to you and your great team. On a more personal note, the whole experience was fabulous! It is really hitting home now, the more Pam and I talk about it we realize how lucky we are to have had found Boomers in Costa Rica. We appreciate your great planning, very well scheduled tour and sincere friendliness. Terry made great breakfasts and had a great sense of humor (especially at 1am mopping). And then there is Preston, a young buck who loves to laugh, followed by kindness and success. Kenneth showed us real feeling and respect for life while showing us around. Letting us share some time with his family was wonderful. What more is there to say but thank you to all of you. We are already dreaming about our return.

Most sincerely,

Jozef and Pam, Burlington, Vermont

Andrew:

There really is no way to tell you both how our week with you has changed things for us. We were feeling so trapped and without any possibilities for a future; only continued hard work and no possibility in sight for retirement. Also taking care of my 96 year old, invalid father had just about exhausted both of us. After months of research I found your Website, Boomers, and I knew without a doubt that this was something we needed to look into.

I remember meeting Andrew as we drove up to the B&B. You came out of the house with your arms wide open saying” I feel like I know you already”, and gave me a big hug. eace that above everything else came to typify our experience of Costa Rica.

We really did fall in love with Costa Rica, which happened I truly believe because of your-Andrew, Preston, and Terry-gentle introduction to a world so different than the one we left in Massachusetts. We learned so much everyday as a natural outcome of the experiences and conversations you provided for us. In thinking back about it I really do marvel at both the intelligence and sensitivity that created that possibility for us. Nothing was forced or pressured, at no time did I feel we were being “sold to” or instructed. You provided a context—a safe structured experience within which we could learn through our own interactions with people and places.

Meeting the two of you was a delight; the only hard part was leaving you. It’s funny but when our plane landed in the USA and we walked into the terminal I thought that some emergency or something had happened because everyone was running every which-way. I felt like we were in some kind of disaster movie. Both of us sat down staring wide-eyed at the scene in disbelief. I finally walked over to a guard and asked him what had happened that everyone was running and walking so fast. He said that “No, it is usually like this. Just people trying to catch their planes.”

Love,

Bea and I thoroughly enjoyed the week and I don't know of any suggestions for change or improvement.  It was a terrific tour and we enjoyed all aspects of the tour.

Sounds like the two of you have a busy week coming up with a large group. Good luck with them.

Say hi to Terry and we'll be in touch.

Letter to Indianapolis Star:

My wife and I recently returned from our first trip to Costa Rica. Our original intent was to find ocean view property on the Central Pacific coast. Once there, we found the temperature/humidity similar to an August afternoon in Indianapolis! We discovered the climate of the Central Highlands to be perfect and the panoramic views breathtaking, including views of the Pacific. We also found a group that provides tours aimed at baby boomers considering Costa Rican retirement. "Boomers In Costa Rica" personnel share invaluable experience and insights the casual traveler could never gain by themselves on a Costa Rican vacation.

Andrew and Alex:

Actually, no matter how hard we try, nothing we put into words will adequately express what you did for us.  We're hoping that our testimonial will help you in some small way, though it pales in comparison to the fun we had with both of you.

Your tour had a HUGE impact on our feelings about living in Costa Rica!  We thought we were interested, but had no idea about what the country really had to offer.  We now feel very comfortable (and excited) about moving to the country you showed us!

For Carol and I, the best part of your tour was the people you lined up to give us presentations about Costa Rica.  The lawyer from San Jose, the architect from San Ramon and the banker from Scotia bank were true professionals.  It’s obvious why you have these folks as part of your tour!

How many different towns did we tour?  And, the properties your real estate agents showed us. . . WOW!  The lot we purchased from your recommended agent in San Ramon is a dream come true.  THANK YOU SO MUCH.

We're so pleased to have been introduced to the Costa Rican culture and countryside by you.  The people we met along the way have educated and enlightened us on what it will take to make our move go smoothly. We really appreciate you both.

Dear Andrew,

Thanks so much for showing me and Les around during our recent trip to Costa Rica.  We really appreciated everything you've done for us and we really enjoyed staying at your B&B!  With your help, we've narrowed down where we want to live and just found a terrific rental property that we'll live in as we explore Costa Rica some more.

We're looking forward to seeing you after we get to Costa Rica permanently.  Thanks again for everything!

Hola Alex & Andrew!

Thank you very much for everything you did on my recent private tour. It was my first time in Costa Rica and you both made me feel like I was visiting old friends. What a terrific introduction to Costa Rica! Without you, I would have never have seen so many towns and met so many incredible people. I was amazed at the properties you showed me.

I also appreciate the extra effort you'd made showing me some additional properties that we had not initially planned to visit. The extended trips to the Pacific and Caribbean really helped solidfy my decision. I am leaning towards settling in the San Ramon area and I am looking forward to being your neighbor.

It was really great to tour with people in my age group who understand my needs at this time in my life. I would recommend anyone taking your 'Boomers' tour if it is anything like the private tour you gave me. I've already recommended you to people I encountered on my return flight to the States, in addition to encourging my parents and relatives to consider utilizing your services.

I'll be back in December and I'll be looking for both of you to help me finalize my plans for my dream home!

Thanks for all you did for me! Pura Vida!
